I've thought for a while that winning the rem comm argument would open up the bigger principle of employee representation. The two tier board model, a la Germany, would be best in my view but this will be fiercely opposed by the forces of conservatives.<br /><br />I think its important that employee representatives play a bigger part in corporate governance than just remuneration. Employees should be able to drive strategy towards corporate social responsibility so that the surrounding area, environmental impacts, and labour force impacts are considered in corporate decision making.
