TPA 'independence' questioned

This is excellent. I think any Labour (or Lib Dem, Green etc) representative who takes part in any debate with the TPA should start by making the group's ideological orientation absolutely clear. They have got away without having their politics exposed for far too long. Anyone who objects to the libertarian Right seeking to act as a voice for taxpayers should get stuck in.

When will we hear them complaining about all this money spent on wars?

What particularly irks me is that the TPA thinks we can only get angry about how our taxes are spent wastefully. They don't say, we could be spending this wasted money on combatting homelessness, etc. And we don't all pay the same rate of tax or ammount, does this mean that those who pay more should feel more aggrieved?

It was good to see Chuka leaving Susie Squire almost speechless - how to deny the Thatcherite bias?

Yeah that interview is great isn't it? It just hows you though that they obviously don't expect to get challenged on their political orientation, which is a real problem. I think we need to keep hammering away at this one.
